Quality materials and great style but for a flat footed guy
Solid build on this shoe and nice material. Very light shoe. Have not had a chance to really test its durability but seems like it would do well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I am a big fan of UA gear, the hiking boots has the very attractive design and looks very nice.
Everything is okay except the ankle part, it is designed to protect ankle instead to hurt the ankle. It leather in that part is so hard and there is not any cushion inside, this could be improved in the future.
Otherwise, it is a nice hiking boots. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I was very surprised at how light these boots are. Almost feels like you're wearing slippers. The soles provide a lot of cushion but seem to be pretty durable.
Being 100% leather, they took a few wears to break-in but now that they are, these are my daily 'go to' boots.
I live in a place where winter is long and harsh, a place where the weatherman calls 3-4 inches of overnight accumulation "nuisance snow". If I wore proper snow boots whenever I was out walking in the snow, I would be wearing them solid from November through March. I bought these boots (actually, last year's brown model) to wear to work with khakis. They look sharp, but not at all like the hefty hiking boots a lot of my co-workers wear.
Out of the box, they had a nice comfortable sole, even though the rest of the shoe was stiff. However, the longer I wear them, the more the leather softens up and conforms to my foot. Now they feel like a comfy old glove.
Last weekend I had an opportunity to actually wear them hiking, now that the snow has melted. They were amazing. I was scrambling around everywhere and these boots refused to slip on dirt, mud, wet roots, or wet rocks.
In terms of fit, I have usually worn a 10.5 in UA shoes, but I found these to be a little long. I would suggest going down 1/2 size. They are definitely narrower than any other UA shoes I've had. It's not uncomfortable, but I do tend to wear thinner socks when I put on these boots. I prefer 2E shoes for running, but wear standard D width in other shoes. These I would say run narrow for a D.
Whether I'm wearing the boots for style or function, they get the job done. Highly recommended.
Working for UPS a boot that is comfortable and can endure hours of use daily is a necesscity. Feels like working in socks all day, so light and comfortable. Long hours, standing still or on the go this boot will suit your needs very nicely
Used to wear the older style but they would wear out in a few months. The leather on these boots fixes that problem. I hike all day most days and these boots are comfortable and appear to last.
Bought these a week ago because I liked the non-leather speed-fit hikers so much. I've done about 10-15 miles so far and they're holding up nice. Great comfort and they look great. Probably end up using them as my everyday boot.
