I'm about 5' 10" / 5' 11" and I ordered a large and was surprised at how long the rise is in these. If you do not hike them up, they will look very odd (like a lot of material just hanging there) and really adds to friction in the middle, between your legs, which is really the main thing I'm trying to avoid and prevent. If you hike them up, be prepared to have the waist hit right below or at your belly button.
Just really surprised at how bad the rise is. Other than that - a good tight.
First I wear a lot of Under Armor products from their Underwear to there Hunting/hiking boots and love most of their products but the UA Coolswitch just didn't satisfy.
First off the waist is about 2" too high, not sure who the model is but most people wearing this garment will be in shape. To be comfortable I had to roll the waist down and now expose the elastic drawstring. Second these things are sheer and its a must to wear an under garment - but even with wearing an under garment - you will see all the details of the undergarment ( ie. if you have on blue underwear / with stripes - your gonna see it).
So, these get pushed to the back of the drawer and I wear under my Karate GI - for that it works great.
Pros of this product - rear center seam, 3/4" length, fabric is very breathable, drawstring, compression.
I bought size medium - Im 44, 5'9, 190# - Train in Martial Arts, Yoga, Crossfit, Spartan races, and of course train at the gym weekly
What I do like and wished UA would offer more is the 3/4" ( 19" inseam) with the rear center seam. A few other companies offer this and I use them daily. I'm very fit and don't wear shorts over my compression gear so I don't like the looks of the 2 seams across the rear buttocks as they resemble there Underwear and not athletic wear.
So I'm still keeping faith that UA will make me a 3/4 compression tight (with a few color offerings), low/natural waist, rear center seam and some simple UA logos, heck gimme me the same in a grey/black camouflage and I think they would sell great.
