I bought these by mistake and figured I would give them a try. They worked out better than I expected, and I am likely to buy a couple of other pairs. They are not too tight and fit as expected. I hope their other compression gear works out this well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I have owned many pair of UA compression shorts over many years and as they last a while because the construction was so good I didn't need any until now; so I bought 3 pair without trying them on because I had developed a trust/brand loyalty that I could shop with confidence. However from what others are saying here I'm not alone. I can only assume UA has bought into the ridiculous idea of gym fashion (like wearing hats indoors while you workout) and now sells product that looks like compression gear, because people see others wearing it so they think they should too, but has no actual function as such.
Two things I'd like to see UA:
1. Make your compression gear the way you used to (and if you want to make similar looking but non-compression for fashion or for people who want anti-friction et cetera fine just label it as such).
Also, please make an add campaign once it's been fixed so we know it's safe to return to your brand.
2. Please look into compression short sizes that allow for a "low-rise." The distance from my waist to the top of my inseam isn't that large and I bet many others face this and don't like having to hike up your shorts to get a supportive fit either.
I don't understand these other reviews. These are by far the best conpression shorts I've ever used. Please do not change the design! I use these while training for Crossfit, football, running, basketball, etc. Exceptional.
I agree with the other comments on this product. They are comfortable but seem to have little compression compared to my older pairs. I bought a pair maybe 3-5 years ago that I felt had good compression but these are much less so.
Great comfort but no compression. My 3 year old pair, I thought was loosing the compression, so I thought a new pair would be in the cards. But the old pair is way better.
These work well for me; I use them as keeper pseudo sliders, and appreciate the build and feel.
These compression shorts are nothing like the original. Material is very thin and no compression at all. Under Armour bring back the originals and go back to better quality control. You have always been known for great products these are horrible. These are so thin they would be classified as underwear at best
I should have listened to the other reviews. These will be on the way back tomorrow. Quality and material has changed and not for the better. Please bring back the old manufacture of this product. Your bottom line will be better when you don't lower the quality.
Finally found right size and comfort sprint-running shorts for myself. Using them for gym sessions as well.
These shorts are not compression in my opinion even thought they are listed as such. This is the first time in many articles of compression gear, that they have not been what they say they are. Having owned many pairs of UA compression shorts these are closer to a pair of underwear then they are to compression shorts. While still being comfortable they are not as they should be. Please correct this problem Under Armour.
