I have an extremely hard time finding shoes that work for my feet.
Since February '16 I've probably tried 6 or more different hiking shoes/boots from just as many different brands. I own a pair or UA cross trainers that have worked really well for me so after so many failed attempts with other brands I thought I would go back to UA once again. I wasn't disappointed! These shoes are beyond comfortable & LIGHT. All the other hiking shoes were heavy & felt like I was walking in slo-mo all the time. The Glenrocks are great! My difficult feet are so happy! The toe box is so cushy, they support my feet really well & best of all NO BLISTERS!
I recently took these to Vegas with me & walking 15+ km a day was no problem. Also did a lot of stair running & was almost effortless with these wonderfully light shoes.
They're great for off road as well as urban hiking!
After reading the reviews, I decided to try a pair. It's my first pair from this brand, not sure if I want to spend more money for shoes here.
I bought the shoes at the end of June, and now, not even two months later they are already showing signs of wear like I've had them for 2 years. The exterior is cracking and starting to separate at the front, and I barely feel the support anymore. Really disappointing considering I've only had these for a very short while.
I have another pair that I alternate with occasionally, since those are older (but still look nice!). I wear these shoes to take my dog for a walk, so it's a mix use between pavement and trails. I walk 5-6km a day.
Some good things I can mention are, the sizing is great and I didn't have to "break" the shoes in. They were comfortable from the get go.
hiked for 3 hoursa first day on feet and were perfect! No break in time and very comfortable!
I own these in the low, as well as the mid. THEY ARE AWESOME!! I originally bought the lows a couple of months ago, and took them on several Oregon woods trails. I never slipped on wet leaves, pine needles, mud, rocks or anything, not once. The tread is that good. They are so comfortable and supportive of my feet I don't even have to wear my orthotics with them. I have about 200 miles on my lows. Last week, I bought the mids to add a little more ankle support. If you need the ankle support you can't go wrong there. They are great. I have taken both pair on and off trails all over the Oregon backwoods climbing rocks, through mud, dry ground, you name it. They haven't failed me yet. When biking, the treads don't allow my feet to slip on the pedals, which is awesome. I am considering buying more just in case UA stops carrying them, they are that good. My husband wanted to try some of the men's version after how well I liked these, and he loves them too. And I bought him a pair of the mids for Christmas as well.
I did several hikes with these shoes in Washington State. The mesh is soft, lightweight and breathable. The outsole provides great support to your feet in every kind of terrain. They are great great summer hiking shoes!
I bought these shoes for a week long trip out in Utah where I was hiking for the whole time. I was worried about blisters on my feet since I was not able to break these shoes in due to my work schedule. However- I did not have a single blister on my feet and the shoes fit very well. I was surprised that the shoes did so well since they went from the box to my suitcase. I am very happy that I brought these along for the adventure.
