I went hunting on a morning with a lot of dew on the ground, walked through the field and my feet were soaked. Made for a very cold day.
I have bought multplie under armour boots for work. And loved just about every pair. Light weight and good to be on feet. Not really much protection. But every pair the laces wear out quick. I just got a new pair and on my 5th shift the laces are already falling apart. Customer service told me to buy new laces and send them a receipt for the laces I got and they will give me a gift card for the value. Years ago they just sent me new laces when this happened. And most importantly they are brand new.
I had my pair 5 years black side zip wore them 80% of the time daily .., yes over time I’ve had a few issues ... back pull came off one ... wearing of soles ... seam loose in several spots between sole and shoe around toes but that’s life fantastic comfort like a slipper and 5 years!!!
These are remarkably lightweight, waterproof (a must for patrol), and extremely comfortable over a 12+ hour shift. These are the only boots I have found that are more comfortable than my running shoes. Regarding the durability, Each pair lasts about one year, which I find acceptable for such a high performance shoe.
I had these shoes approved to wear out and about on crime scenes. I was hoping that with the name they'd prove to last.
I was wrong. The seam where the toe meets with the fabric close to the laces has come undone within 5-6 months of 4 days a week use and there's a nice gap in-between.
I've had cheaper shoes hold up longer with the soles giving out faster.
I am not happy with these shoes and I cannot understand how so many have been manufactured.
Love these boots!! So light, great for being on your feet for 10+ hours in and out of car and walking.
The boots were great for a few short months and then they fell apart. The logo on sides started to detach, the tongue of boot barely stayed in place and the shoe laces stripped and broke. They were still usable but not worth the money for a 3-4 month boot in law enforcement. Other brands I have used last over a year or close to 2. Decided to try UA as I wear their clothes daily but they are not ready for the tactical setting with this particular boot. I tried to purchase shoe laces that would work but they appear to thick for the holes of these boots.
I personally love the 1.5... squeezed 12 months out of my first pair...on my second pair of 1.5. I own the 2.0 and the steel toe version. I wear them 14 hours a day at work and play. Are they the most durable boot I have ever had...no. Most comfortable...Absolutely. Keep making them. ;)
I was a big fan of the Valsetz 2.0 and had high expectations about the Valsetz 1.5 Waterproof. I read the bad reviews before purchasing but decided to give these a try anyway as I really loved the 2.0 and needed a waterproof duty boot for winter. Unfortunately, these didn't stand up to my expectations. Boots are very comfortable but I would get my feet wet all the time just from getting in and out of the car in the snow (not waterproof at all). After only 4 months of use, both boots are starting to wear through near the toes where the sole flex (see picture). Very disappointed.
They're not bad, but they're not great either. I like that they're waterproof, but that's about it. They just don't have the same comfort as the original valsetz; those felt like you were wearing a gym shoe.
